Selena Gomez
Selena Marie Gomez was born on the 22nd of July the 22nd of July, 1992 in Grand Prairie, Texas,[1] to Ricardo Joel Gomez and Texas-born[2stage actor Mandy Teefey. She is named Selena Quintanilla after the Tejano artist who died in. Her adopted mother has Italian heritage, and her Mexican father was born of Mexican origin. Her paternal grandparents emigrated into Texas from Monterrey in the 70s. [9] Of her heritage, Gomez has said she is "a proud third-generation American-Mexican"[10] and "My family does have quinceaneras, and we go to the communion church. We follow everything Catholic, but we're not doing anything typical, other than going to the park and have barbecues on Sundays after the church. Gomez who was bilingual in Spanish from the age of seven, was quoted to have said: "[11] Gomez had an understanding of Spanish prior to turning seven. Her parents separated when she reached five and she lived with her mom. Gomez's younger siblings are Gracie Elliot Teefey and Marcus Gomez. They were born to Mandy Teefey and Brian Teefey. In May 2010 she received her diploma after completing her the home schooling. 16-year-old Gomez was born in the year her mother was just 16 years old. (17) The Gomez family had financial difficulties in the early years of Gomez's life. Her mother was in a position of being unable to take care of her the other two. Gomez remembers having to look for quarters in order to purchase gas for the car, at once. She later told her mother that the couple would walk into the local shop to purchase spaghetti to cook dinner. Gomez said [18] "I was sad that my parents weren't together and I never saw the shining light that my mom was working to ensure a brighter future for me." I'm afraid of the person I would have become if I'd continued to live in Texasand not moved to Texas. She later added "her mother was very confident with me." It was an enormous responsibility to be responsible for someone at the age of 16. She was a tireless worker for me. She worked three jobs and was a great support to me. Gomez grew up with a strong relationship between her as well as her grandparents. They have also assisted in promoting Gomez in pageants. They often took care of her while the schooling of her parents was completed, and she has said she was "raised their daughter" until she was successful in show business.
